It’s a bug eat bug world out there. Any seasoned gardener can attest to the heart sinking feeling when a cared for crop has been ravaged by insects. Since I’m from the NW I’m going to throw slugs into this mix. Have you thrown your arms up, fallen to your knees and yelled “Why?…Why?” Ok, maybe not so melodramatic, but I know you’ve all felt like doing that.
Well the good news is that every bug in the yard has an arch nemesis. I thought since Spiderman 3 is coming out soon a good topic would be garden insects. So let’s run thru some of the basics. Beneficial insects do not harm people, plants, or pets. The two most commonly used are ladybugs, and praying mantis. Now personally, I can hold and handle the ladybugs no problem. As far as the praying mantis,.. well,.. let’s just say that I have a personal policy not to hold bugs that get so big they deserve to be individually named. They are super cool though. They are the kung-fu masters of the bug world. Think they’re praying?..think again. Kabam!
What, exactly is a nematode. Well, let me tell you friend,.. Nematodes are unsegmented, bilaterally symmetric and triploblastic protostomes with a complete digestive system. Beneficial nematodes are microscopic worms that, once released in the soil will seek out their host, enter through body openings, and emit a toxin, which kills their prey within 48 hours. Now if that isn’t fodder for a comic book archenemy I don’t know what is. There would be nothing as dire as “The Nematode Man”

So not really on the same topic as your post, but I found this today and I just can’t resist sharing. Mrs. Agathe’s dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. Since she had to go to work the next day, she told him, “I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you the check. Oh, and by the way…don’t worry about my Doberman. He won’t bother you. But, whatever you do, do NOT under ANY circumstances talk to my parrot!” When the repairman arrived at Mrs. Agathe’s apartment the next day, he discovered the biggest and meanest looking Doberman he had ever seen. But just as she had said, the dog simply laid there on the carpet, watching the repairman go about his business. However, the whole time the parrot drove him nuts with his incessant cursing, yelling and name-calling. Finally the repairman couldn’t contain himself any longer and yelled, “Shut up, you stupid ugly bird!” To which the parrot replied, “Get him, Spike!”

I do like the structure and colors, but I need to say that I’m having problems when it loads. I’m making use of Lynxlet 8.1 web browser for mac, and the header would not align nicely. i’m confident I’ve applied a similar design on a customer’s internet site about hypnosis download, but the menu seems all straight on mine.
