Intro

The way to pronounce this vibrant indoor plant is tra·duh·skan·shee·uh. This indoor plant is unique, curly and bright. A great addition to any home or office. It’s not everyday you see a pink indoor house plant.  Tradescantia albiflora ‘Nanouk is a gorgeous plant that will grow more pink once you give it bright indirect light. The trailing stems with striking pink makes this the perfect plant for hanging basket, centerppiece, or spread across a tabletop or other surface.

Growing, Sun and Water

This is an easy house plant to grow because you just need to trim it to keep it uniform or clipped to the shape you desire.  When it comes to watering,  just water thoroughly when dry. Water is needed when the potting mix starts to dry out on top and is dry to the touch. Sunlight is important by providing morning sun or very bright indirect or artificial light. A bay window or kitchen garden window is perfect for the plant to receive the sunlight it needs. These  plants love the warm temps. The best temps to keep this plant are in the 80’s no lower than 75 degrees. These plants do very well in warmer climates or indoors that keep temperatures in the warm zones.

Conclusion

This is not an especially rare plant. The best place to buy this plant is as a start online. Buyer Beware with smart advice, to be careful when sellers describe Tradescantia Nanouk as “rare” because they use that tactic to drive up the price. One nice feature about this  plant is that it can produce small white blooms and flowers during the growing season from spring through late fall. The flowers have a sweet gentle fragrance, nothing too overpowering. This indoor p;lant is also a fast grower. The one requirement to have a flourishing tradescantia-nanouk is to provide it with ample sunlight.
